Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data the AxiTech website collects, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be waved at you.

Who is responsible for your data
AxiTech operates this website and decides how the personal data collected through it is used. Our full legal entity name, commercial registration number and registered address are being confirmed and will be published here before launch [placeholder to be completed]. Until then, the contact routes in the last section of this policy reach the people responsible for data protection at AxiTech.

What this policy covers
This policy covers the AxiTech website, in English and in French, including the contact form, the quote request form and the quote cart. It does not cover the agreements we sign with customers: personal data processed under a maintenance contract or a purchase order is governed by that contract and by the documents issued with it.

What we collect
Data you give us. When you send a contact form or a quote request we collect your name, e-mail address, telephone number, the organisation you represent, the equipment or products your request concerns, and the message you write. Only the fields marked as required have to be filled in; the rest is optional and simply helps us answer more precisely. Data your browser sends. Like any website, ours receives your IP address, browser type and language, the page you requested and the page you came from. Our content delivery network uses this to serve pages and to block abusive traffic. Data stored on your device. The quote cart keeps the list of products you have selected in your browser's local storage so it survives a page reload. It stays on your device and is not sent to us until you submit a request. We do not ask for clinical or patient data and we do not want to receive it. Please do not include patient information, medical records or images containing patient identifiers in a form message.

Why we use it
We use the data you submit to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, arrange an intervention and keep a record of the commercial exchange. We use technical data to deliver the site, keep it secure and understand which pages are useful. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use a form submission as a reason to send you marketing you did not ask for.

Our basis for processing
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on the following. Your request, in order to take steps at your request before entering into a contract — this covers the contact and quote forms. Our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website and in responding to business enquiries — this covers security logging, anti-spam screening and aggregate analytics. And your consent, where consent is specifically required, for example for non-essential analytics in jurisdictions that require it. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

How long we keep it
Quote and contact requests are kept for as long as the commercial relationship they belong to is live, and afterwards for the period we are required to retain commercial records. Requests that do not lead to a relationship are reviewed periodically and deleted once they no longer serve a purpose. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form for the period configured in Google Analytics. Data held in your browser's local storage, including the quote cart, stays until you clear it yourself or empty the cart.

Who processes data on our behalf
We use a small number of established service providers, each bound to process data only on our instructions: Supabase — hosts the database holding catalogue content and the requests submitted through this site. Cloudflare — serves the site as a content delivery network and filters malicious traffic; requests pass through its network before reaching us. Resend — sends the transactional e-mails that confirm your request to you and notify our team. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager — measure, in aggregate, how the site is used. Google reCAPTCHA — distinguishes genuine submissions from automated ones on our forms, processing technical signals from your browser under Google's own terms. None of these providers is used by us to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal data.

How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS only, with security headers that restrict what may be loaded into the page. Form submissions are validated on the server and screened for automated abuse before anything is stored. Access to submitted requests is limited to the AxiTech staff who need it, through individual accounts governed by row-level access rules — there are no shared logins. No system is perfect and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will notify you and the competent authority as required by the applicable law.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal data: to know what we hold, to obtain a copy, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw a consent you previously gave. To exercise any of them, write to us using the contact details in the last section. Tell us which right you are exercising and give us enough detail to find your records. We reply within the period required by the applicable law, and we may need to verify your identity first. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

International transfers
Our service providers operate infrastructure in several countries, so your data may be processed outside the country you are in. Where that happens we rely on those providers' contractual data protection commitments, including standard contractual clauses where they apply.

We update this policy when the way we handle data changes. The date shown at the top of this page is the date of the current version, and material changes are highlighted here.
